Other Comments: The Classmen offer an entertaining mix of swing music, ballads, Latin numbers, Dixieland tunes, and specialty dance music. This band first formed in the mid 1950s. Six young musicians from central Ohio joined together to play the music of Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Woody Herman. Then in the early 1960’s they disbanded, in order to concentrate on careers and military service. Now, with the resurgence of swing music to popularity, The Classmen have returned!
