Will the DJ play the music I want to be played?

YES, your Paragon DJ will carefully follow all of your music requests.

Can I choose styles of music or songs not to be played?

YES, your Paragon DJ will refrain from playing anything you ask him not to play.

Do you have a song list I can choose from?

YES, we have a Sample Songs List which you can view by clicking here.

Can we bring our own music?

YES, your Paragon DJ will be happy to play any music you bring in CD format.

Will the DJ take requests from my guests?

YES, your Paragon DJ will gladly take requests if you want him to do so. If you would rather that he only play what you have pre- requested, he gladly will do that instead.

Who controls the volume of the music?

You ultimately control the volume. If you don’t like the volume of the music at any time, your Paragon DJ will cheerfully adjust it to your satisfaction.

Will I get to talk to my DJ before my event?

YES, you will have a consultation with your Paragon DJ prior to your event, to ensure that he understands exactly your needs and wishes.

Will the DJ make announcements and act as M.C.?

YES, all Paragon DJs are expert M.Cs, and have years of experience as Masters of Ceremonies for weddings and other formal events.

What will the DJ wear to my event?

Your Paragon DJ will wear a black tuxedo unless you request otherwise.

Will the DJ take breaks?

No, your Paragon DJ will entertain continuously throughout your event.

How far in advance should we book a DJ?

Most people reserve their Paragon Disc Jockey 3 to 12 months in advance. However, if your event is less than 3 months away, please don’t hesitate to contact us—we are usually able to accommodate customers on short notice.

Do you provide a contract to guarantee your services?

YES, we provide a contract which legally guarantees the performance of your Paragon DJ on your date, at your event location, during the times you specify.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, we ask for a 1/3 deposit at the time you sign your contract.

How long does it take the DJ to set up?

Your Paragon DJ can complete his set-up in an hour. If your time frame is tighter, it is often possible to get it done more quickly.

Do we pay for set-up or tear-down time?

NO, your Paragon DJ will come an hour before your starting time to set up, and tear down immediately after your event, and you will not be charged for any of that time.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Personal Check, VISA, MasterCard and American Express.

How long have you been in business?

Paragon is proud to have served Central Ohio since 1986.

How much experience will my DJ have?

Your Paragon DJ will have a minimum of 15 years’ experience.

How many songs are in your library?

At last count, there were over 25,000 songs in our library. We are constantly updating and expanding our library.

How many songs will the DJ bring to my event?

Your Paragon DJ will bring at least 10,000 songs to your event, and often as many as 15,000.

Can the DJ provide music for my wedding ceremony?

Yes, your Paragon DJ will have all of the standard, traditional wedding music, and experience performing for wedding ceremonies.

Can the DJ play music for my cocktail hour in a different room?

Yes, your Paragon DJ can bring either a second system, or a second set of speakers, depending upon the physical requirements of your event.

What quality DJ equipment is provided?

Your Paragon DJ brings top-of-the-line, well-maintained, professional equipment for crystal clear sound production.

What media are used for the DJs music?

Your Paragon DJ will bring digital media exclusively to assure the highest sound quality available.

What happens if the DJ gets sick, or can’t get to the event?

Since 1986, no Paragon Disc Jockey has ever been incapable of performing an engagement. However, replacement DJs are available should that occur.

Will the DJ drink alcohol beverages at my event?

NO, Paragon DJs are professionals who do not drink alcohol while on duty performing.

Will the DJ help himself to food at my event?

NO, Paragon DJs will not partake of refreshments unless invited to do so.

Will the DJ display any advertising or banners?

NO, we consider your event a special occasion and not an opportunity to advertise.

How much space will the DJ need?

Your Paragon DJ needs very little space—10 feet by 6 feet is usually adequate.

What does the DJ need me to provide?

The DJ needs only an 8-foot rectangular skirted table and an electrical outlet. (A 6-foot table can be made to work if necessary.) We will be sure that your venue is made aware of these requirements.

Do I need to provide a meal for the DJ?

A meal is not required nor expected, but is very much appreciated, especially during longer events.

What geographical area do you serve?

While we are based in Central Ohio, our DJs have traveled throughout the State of Ohio, and are willing to travel beyond that.

Do you carry liability insurance?

YES, we carry a $2 million general liability policy.
